2-4. OPERATION WITH M18A2 DETECTOR KIT

NOTE

For steps a thru g, if you ever get a wrong color response clean your SCAITS

(para 2-5) and then repeat para 2-3 and 2-4.

Results must be checked by a person who is not color blind.

a. Prepare and insert detector ticket from your detector kit into aspirator bulb and adapter

as described in TM 3-6665-254-12, para 2-22c and d (1 ).

b. Take the prepared test bottle marked V (para 2-3) and collect vapor agent sample as

shown here. Replace cap on test bottle immediately after collecting sample.

c. Follow procedures and interpret results as described in TM 3-6665-254-12, para 22d (2)

thru (5).
