TM 1-1500-204-23-2 NOTE The black rubber coming out between the wire braid only occurs with hose which conforms to MIL-H-83797.  This is a result of the manufacturing process and is normal. The replacement hose shall be a dupli- cate of hose removed as to the length, OD, ID, and contour (except as directed). (4)  Excessive wire damage.  (Braided wire cover).  Wire damage can be identified using the follow- ing guidelines.
