(A) and (B) of figure 5-26. The clip-locking method is used only on the most modern aircraft. An example of an   aircraft   using   this   method   is   the   EA-6B.   These aircraft use a turnbuckle that is designed for use with the  wire  clip.  The  older  type  of  aircraft  still  use  the turnbuckles that require the wire-wrapping method. Detailed    instructions    for    using    both    the    clip- locking  and  the  wire-wrapping  methods  of  safetying turnbuckles    can    be    found    in Aviation    Structural Mechanic (H&S) 3 & 2, NAVEDTRA 12338.
