CARE AND MAINTENANCE

It is not recommended that the entire spray gun be immersed in solvent for

any extended period. This precaution will prevent packings from becoming

dry and causing air leaks, as well as removing desirable lubrication.

It is not recommended that this spray gun be completely disassembled for

cleaning. Especially if the procedure outlined below is followed.

CLEANING SPRAY GUN & EQUIPMENT (Pressure Feed)

Step I - Release air pressure from pressure tank.

Step II - Back pressure as follows:

Loosen air nozzle and hold a cloth over same.

Using normal spraying air pressure, pull trigger and air pressure will force

material from gun passages and fluid line into pressure tank. Remove material

from pressure tank and replace with compatible solvent.

Step III - Tighten air nozzle and operate system as if painting

until clean solvent appears.

Step IV - Repeat back pressure procedure to clear solvent

from gun passages and fluid lines.

Step V - Wipe down the spray gun with compatible solvent.

This method obviously cleans not only the spray gun but the entire system.

LUBRICATION REMINDER

Drop of light oil should be frequently placed on all moving parts.

Specifically:

the shank of the fluid needle assembly 71-03-70N where

enters packing nut 71-21.

trigger shaft 20-34 (both sides).

exposed portion of air valve 71-41X.
