TM 9-4910-663-34 CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION Section I. GENERAL 1-1. SCOPE. This manual is for your use in performing direct support and general support maintenance of Automotive Generator, Alternator, Starter Test Stand, Model GASR-500, Part Numbers 7458-2 and 7458-4, hereinafter referred to as the test stand. Unless otherwise stated, the instructions in this manual apply to both test stands. 1-2. MAINTENANCE FORMS AND RECORDS. Maintenance forms and records which you are required to use are listed and explained in DA PAM 738-750. 1-3. CALIBRATION. Calibration of all test stand meters shall be performed in accordance with TB 9-4910-527-50, Calibration Procedure for Generator and Starter Test Stand, United Manufacturing Models 7336, 7458 and Sun Electric Model AGT-9. 1-4. QUALITY ASSURANCE/QUALITY CONTROL (QA/QC). No requirement for pertinent QA/AC instructions. 1-5. REPORTING QUALITY DEFICIENCIES: QDRs will be prepared using Standard Form 368, Quality Deficiency Report. Instructions for preparing QDRs are provided in DA PAM 738-750, The Army Maintenance Management system. QDRs should be mailed directly to: Commander, U.S. Army Armament, Munitions and Chemical Command, ATTN: AMSMC-QAD, Rock Island, IL 61299-6000. A reply will be furnished directly to you. Section II.
