a. Disconnecting Ground Rod from Insulator.
(1) Disconnect the grounding cable
from the insulator connector
.
(2) Pull the ground rod
from the ground.
b. Disconnecting RF Cable.  After making certain the radio operator has discon-
nected the antenna rf cable from the radio, disconnect the rf cable connector
from the balun
at the base of the antenna mast
. Coil and bind the one or
two 100-foot rf cables used to connect the antenna to the radio. Replace the pro-
tector cap
on the connector
at the bottom of the balun.
