2-17. OPERATION IN UNUSUAL WEATHER
The GUYS and the markers/streamers should be periodically checked when you are operating during
bad weather.
If there is a possibility of ice forming on your antenna, post WARNING SIGNS.
2-18. OPERATION IN UNUSUAL TERRAIN
Loose, soft, sandy, clay type, rocky SOiIS may not be able to safely hold your
ANTENNA STAKES.
Before leaving your base:
make sure you have a supply of the special anchors you may need to use in the soil you could find in
your area of operations,
AND
make sure that you have the special tools required to install the specil anchors.
