While sighting through your
compass at 50 degrees:
Tell your partner to
slowly move in the
desired direction.
Coordinate your partner's
movement, and yours until
you are able to sight:
Up the wire, through the
MARKER, on your side, through
the MAST to the other MARKER.
Once you are alined:
Have your partner mark
the location for his antenna
stake: preferably 2 or 3 feet
beyond the spot on the ground
where his half of the antenna
touched at the time of proper
alinement.
When your partner is finished, do the same marking at your end.
NOTE: IT MAY BE NECESSARY IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS TO USE THE ANTENNA
MARKERS DURING THE SIGHTING STEPS IN THE BASIC AND ALTERNATIVE
PROCEDURES.
