AFTER STARTING APU (CONT)

TM 1-1520-238-MTF 2-14 PROCEDURE TROUBLESHOOTING REFERENCE STARTING APU – PILOT (CONT) a.   APU control switch – Set to run position. Verify APU FAIL C/W segment illuminates. Complete priming, initiate start, then to run. CAUTION The  APU  95%  cold  start  switch  should not be used when the ambient tempera- ture is above 0 °F (–18 °C) because this significantly increases component wear and  may  cause  premature  component failure. b.   95% switch – Hold to 95% position as required. c.   Hydraulic system gages – Verify 3000 PSI indicated after PTO clutch engagement. d.   Caution/warning panel – Verify PRI HYD PSI, UTIL HYD PSI, OIL PSI ACC PUMP and APU FAIL segments extinguished; SHAFT DRIVEN COMP and APU ON segments illuminated. AFTER STARTING APU WARNING To  prevent  injury  to  personnel,  ensure pylons are clear prior to performing the generator system check. A7 A7, A9 A15
