(4) Hold bolt (11). Use open end wrench.
(5) Install nylon washer (14), washer (15), and
nut (10).
(6) Torque nut (10) to 300 INCH-POUNDS. Use
crowfoot, torque wrench, and adapter.
(7) Increase torque to aline cotter pin hole, but do
not exceed 400 INCH-POUNDS.
(8) Install new cotter pin (16).
(9) Apply sealing compound around bolt (11)
head, washer (15), and nut (10). Use sealing
compound (item 176, App F).
c. Install nylon washer (17) on bellcrank (18), if
removed.
(1) Lightly abrade mating surfaces until old adhe-
sive and surface of bellcrank (18) are free of
contaminants (glossy). Use cloth (item 47,
App F).
(2) Wipe bellcrank (18) free of contaminants.
Use methyl ethyl ketone (item 124, App F)
and cloth (item 51, App F).
(3) Wipe bellcrank (18) dry. Use cloth (item 51,
App F).
(4) Allow bellcrank (18) to air dry 30 to 120 MIN-
UTES.
