LATERAL BELLCRANK AND LATERAL LINKS INSTALLATION – continued 11.11.3.  Installation CAUTION Threads  of  bolt  and  nut  shall  be  clean and   compound   free.  Contaminated threads  can  cause  improper  torque, which may cause damage to flight control system. NOTE End  of  link  with  minimum  dimension  A shall be connected to swashplate. If both ends  have  same  dimension  either  end may be connected to swashplate. a.   Install lateral link (1) on lateral bellcrank (2). Torque nut (3) 75 to 91 FOOT-POUNDS. (1)   Aline link (1) with bellcrank (2). (2)   Install bushing (4) and limiter (5) in bellcrank (2). (3)   Apply  a  light  coat  of  corrosion  preventive compound to shank of bolt (6). Use corrosion preventive compound (item 62A, App F). (4)   Install  bolt  (6)  through  washer(s)  (7)  (if  re- quired), bushing (4), limiter (5), link (1), and bellcrank (2). (5)   Check fit of self-retaining bolt (6) (para 11.1). (6)   Hold  bolt  (6).  Install  nut  (3).  Use  open  end wrench. (7)   Torque  nut  (3)  to  75  FOOT-POUNDS.  Use socket and torque wrench. (8)   Increase torque to aline cotter pin hole, but do not exceed 91 FOOT-POUNDS. (9)   Install new cotter pin (8). (10)   Apply  sealing  compound  around  bolt  (6) head,  washer  (7),  and  nut  (3).  Use  sealing compound (item 176, App F). GO TO NEXT PAGE 1 8 3 2 A 6 7 4 M04-1716-17A 5
