TM 1-1520-238-23 Change 2 11-73 11.10. LATERAL BELLCRANK AND LATERAL LINKS REMOVAL – continued WARNING FLIGHT SAFETY PART Heat  treated  condition  of  lateral  bell- crank and bolt is critical to their ser- viceability.  Any  indication  of  heat oxidizing  (discoloration),  where  visu- ally  detectable,  requires  replacement of the part. These parts must be pro- tected from unscheduled heating and external impact during inspection and other handling procedures. CAUTION To  prevent  damage  to  bushings,  press retention device lock fully when removing bolt. f.   Remove  bellcrank  (11)  from  collective  bell- crank (26). (1)   Remove  sealant  from  attaching  hardware (para 1.47). (2)   Remove and discard cotter pin (27). (3)   Raise bellcrank (19). (4)   Hold bolt (28). Use open end wrench. (5)   Remove  nut  (29),  washer  (30),  and  nylon washer   (31).   Use   hinged   handle   and crowfoot. (6)   Remove bolt (28) and nylon washer (32) by pressing button (33). (7)   Lower bellcrank (19) as far as it will go. GO TO NEXT PAGE 26 11 26 27 11 32 28 19 M04-1715-6 30 29 31 33
