11.7.3. Installation
a. Install sling (1) on swashplate (2).
(1) Install one strap through each arm of swash-
plate (2).
(2) Hook and adjust straps to same length.
b. Install crane hook (3) on sling (1). Use crane.
CAUTION
·The entire weight of swashplate must
be supported by crane until both later-
al links and torque link are connected.
One person must guide swashplate as
it is lowered on mast to prevent dam-
age to mast threads.
·Lateral links and torque link may be
damaged if allowed to fall.
c. Remove padding and lockwire securing two
lateral links (4) and (5) and torque link (6) from
main rotor mast (7).
d. Install swashplate (2) on mast (7).
(1) Lift and position swashplate (2) above mast
(7).
(2) Guide and aline swashplate (2) in position for
links (4), (5), and (6) connection.
(3) Lower swashplate (2) on mast (7).
