TM 1-1520-238-23 11-52 Change 2 11.6. MAIN ROTOR SWASHPLATE REMOVAL – continued e.   Remove right lateral link (16) from swashplate (2). (1)   Remove  sealant  from  attaching  hardware (para 1.47). (2)   Remove and discard cotter pin (17). (3)   Remove nut (18). (4)   Remove   bolt   (19),   washer(s)   (20)   (if installed), and bushing (21). f.   Pad  and  secure  links  (4),  (10),  and  (16)  with lockwire  to  main  rotor  mast  (22).  Use  cloth (item 54, App F) and wire (item 229, App F). CAUTION One  person  must  guide  swashplate  to prevent damage to mast threads. g.   Remove swashplate (2) from main rotor mast (22). (1)   Lift swashplate (2) from mast (22). Use crane hook (3). 11.6.4.  Cleaning a.   Wipe  removed  and  attaching  parts  with  a clean rag. 11.6.5.  Inspection a.   Check removed and attaching parts for dam- age (para 11.5). b.   Check swashplate assembly radial and axial play and freedom of movement (para 11.5). c.   Check removed and attaching parts for corro- sion (para 1.49). d.   Check  all  installed  bushing(s)  and/or  bear- ing(s) for wear (para 11.5). e.   Check  all  removed  bushing(s)  and/or  bear- ing(s) for wear (para 11.4).
