11.6.3. Removal
a. Attach sling (1) on swashplate (2).
(1) Install one strap through each arm of swash-
plate (2).
(2) Hook and adjust straps to same length.
b. Install crane hook (3) on sling (1). Use crane.
(1) Raise crane hook (3) to remove slack from
sling (1).
CAUTION
Lateral links and torque link may be dam-
aged if allowed to fall.
c. Remove torque link (4) from swashplate (2).
(1) Remove sealant from attaching hardware
(para 1.47).
(2) Remove and discard cotter pin (5).
(3) Hold nut (6). Remove bolt (7). Use socket and
open end wrench.
(4) Remove washer(s) (8) (if installed), and
bushing (9).
(5) Remove link (4).
d. Remove left lateral link (10) from swashplate
(2).
(1) Remove sealant from attaching hardware
(para 1.47).
(2) Remove and discard cotter pin (11).
(3) Remove nut (12).
(4) Remove bolt (13), washer(s) (14) (if
installed), and bushing (15).
