TM 1-1520-238-23 11-46 Change 3 11.5. FLIGHT CONTROLS – INSPECTION (MAIN ROTOR) – continued (10)   Radial play in servocylinder rod end bearings and clevis bearings 0.005 INCH. (11)   Axial play in servocylinder rod end bearings and clevis bearings 0.020 INCH. e.   Pitch links. (1)   Gouges and scratches not to exceed 0.020 INCH in depth and 0.070 INCH in length for the area 3 INCHES inboard of either rod end bearing; 0.003 INCH in depth and 0.010 INCH in length for the midspan of the link. Irregularities must be blended out. (2)   Rod end threads should be snug but free to turn in barrel with jam nuts loosened. (3)   Maximum allowable radial play 0.014 INCH. (4)   Maximum allowable axial play 0.030 INCH. (5)   Wear and chafing (metal-to-metal) with swashplate clevis, maximum allowable rod damage depth 0.010 INCH. Use depth gage. (6)   Jam nuts replaced if nicked substantially. f.   Swashplate – spherical bearing freeplay. (1)   Maximum allowable radial play 0.020 INCH between uniball and inner ring. (2)   Maximum allowable axial play 0.063 INCH between uniball and inner ring. (3)   Maximum allowable radial play 0.020 INCH between uniball and mast. (Axial play does not apply.) (4)   Friction not to restrict freedom of movement on shaft. (5)   Wear or chafing with pitch link, maximum allowable damage depth 0.015 INCH. Use depth gage. (6)   Swashplate. Gouges, dents, and scratches not to exceed 0.050 INCH in depth. Must be blended out. Use depth gage. (7)   Swashplate rod end ears. (a)   Gouges, dents, and scratches not to exceed 0.050 INCH in depth. Must be blended out. Use depth gage. (b)   Ear thickness shall not be less than 0.617 INCH after blending. (8)   Swashplate self-lubricating fabric bearing liners. Nicks and gouges not to exceed 0.010 INCH. May be blended out if blended area does not exceed 20 percent of bearing width, and does not exceed 1.00 INCH in length (TM 55-1500-322-24). GO TO NEXT PAGE
