TM 1-1520-238-23 Change 6 11-45 11.5. FLIGHT CONTROLS – INSPECTION (MAIN ROTOR) – continued (3)   Dents not to exceed 0.020 INCH in depth. Must be blended out. Use depth gage. (4)   Scratches and gouges not to exceed 1/3 circumference of rod after repair. (5)   Ratcheting ball bearing rod ends must be replaced. (6)   Maximum allowable spherical rod end bearing radial play 0.010 INCH. (7)   For additional limits refer to TM 1-1500-204-23. c.   Scissors. (1)   Maximum allowable spherical bearing radial play 0.014 INCH. (2)   Maximum allowable spherical bearing axial play 0.030 INCH. (3)   Tubular sections – gouges and scratches not to exceed 0.020 INCH in depth. Dents not to exceed 0.032 INCH in depth. Must be blended out. Use depth gage. (4)   Intermediate and end block sections – gouges, dents, and scratches not to exceed 0.015 INCH in depth. Must be blended out. Use depth gage. (5)   Transition zones between tubular and block sections – gouges, dents, and scratches not to exceed 0.010 INCH in depth. Must be blended out. Use depth gage. (6)   Axial play wear limit between upper and lower arms of load bearing scissors may not exceed 0.010 INCH. (7)   Axial play wear limit between load bearing scissors and lower shoe not to exceed 0.010 INCH. d.   Bushings and bearings. NOTE ·Maximum allowable damage limits are given in (TM 55-1500-322-24). ·Replace excessively worn bushing(s) and/or bearing(s) (para 11.4). (1)   Radial play with bolt in bushing or bearing inside diameter 0.004 INCH. (2)   Radial play with sliding bushing in flanged inside diameter 0.004 INCH. (3)   Radial play in ball bearing 0.002 INCH. (4)   Radial play of Teflon bearing 0.006 INCH. (5)   Radial play in push-pull rod end bearing 0.002 INCH. (6)   Axial play in Teflon bearing 0.016 INCH. (7)   Axial play in push-pull rod end bearing 0.009 INCH. (8)   Radial play in servocylinder universal link bushings 0.005 INCH. (9)   Axial play in servocylinder universal link bushings 0.009 INCH.
