(1)   Dents, gouges, scratches, or corrosion in control rods, brackets, supports, idlers, and other components. (a)   Damage  in  component  bore  within  1  and  1/2  times  bore  diameter  is  not  to  exceed  10  percent  of material thickness or 0.040 INCH, whichever is less. (b)   Damage in bulkhead or deck attachment is not to exceed 25 percent of item area and no more than 20 percent of material thickness after repair. (2)   Cracks in control rods, brackets, supports, idlers, and other components. No cracks allowed. (a)   If cracks are suspected, perform nondestructive inspection (TM 1-1520-264-23). b.   Push-pull rods. NOTE Replace excessively worn bearing(s) (para 11.2 or para 11.3). (1)   Straightness must be within 0.030 INCH. Use depth gage. (2)   Gouges not to exceed 0.010 INCH or 10 percent of wall thickness in depth, whichever is less, and 1.0 INCH in length. Use depth gage. GO TO NEXT PAGE
