REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
CAUTION
Jet fuel will cause external surface of fuel
cell to swell, delaminate, and leak if al-
lowed to contact the fuel cell more than
72 HOURS. Keep jet fuel away from the
outside of fuel cells.
c. Remove No. 1 engine lower fuel supply hose
(1) from forward fuel cell engine fuel supply
breakaway valve (2) in ammunition bay.
(1) Pull ratchet sleeve connector (3) back to re-
lease locking teeth.
(2) Turn and pull connector (3) from adapter (4).
d. Remove forward fuel cell engine fuel supply
hose (5) from valve (2) inside fuel cell.
(1) Pull ratchet sleeve connector (6) back to re-
lease locking teeth.
(2) Turn and pull connector (6) from adapter (7).
e. Remove two bolts (8) and washers (9) from
ammunition bay.
