FORWARD FUEL CELL AIR VENT/PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
CAUTION
Jet fuel will cause external surface of fuel
cell to swell, delaminate, and leak if al-
lowed to contact the fuel cell more than
72 HOURS. Keep jet fuel away from the
outside of fuel cells.
c. Remove forward air vent/pressure relief valve
(1) from forward fuel cell (2).
(1) Remove two bolts (3) and washers (4) from
support bracket (5).
(2) Remove six bolts (6) and washers (7) from
mounting pad (8).
(3) Remove valve (1) from bracket (5) and pad
(8).
(4) Remove and discard packing (9).
10.15.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
10.15.5. Inspection
a. Check removed and attaching parts for
cracks, nicks, and damaged threads (para
10.1).
