FORWARD FUEL CELL FORWARD ACCESS COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
f. Install forward cover (5) on fuel cell (6). Torque
bolts (7) and (9) to 60 INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Position cover (5) over mounting holes in fuel
cell (6).
(2) Install four long bolts (7) and washers (8).
Torque bolts (7) to 60 INCH-POUNDS. Use
torque wrench.
(3) Install 20 bolts (9) and washers (10). Torque
bolts (9) to 60 INCH-POUNDS. Use torque
wrench.
(4) Perform electrical bond check on four bolts
(7) (TM 55-1500-323-24).
(a) Bond shall be 1.0 OHM or less. Use
multimeter.
(5) Seal heads of four bolts (7). Use sealing
compound (item 175, App F).
g. Attach electrical connector P263 (3) to recep-
tacle (A58)J1 (4).
h. Attach electrical connector P942 (1) to recep-
tacle (A58)J2 (2).
i. Install forward fuel cell forward fuel quantity
transmitter (para 10.5).
j. Inspect (QA).
