considerations you should keep in mind are as
follows:
. Each significant function must be pro-
vided for within the organization.
. Each function should be assigned to a
specific organizational component.
. Closely related or similar functions should
be assigned to a single component.
l There should be no overlapping, duplica-
tion,
or conflict of functions among the
components.
l Functions should be assigned so as to
minimize cross relations among components.
Figure 3-2 shows a completed functional chart
which is a companion to the structural chart
shown in figure 3-1.
