the first article may be camouflage green 383. Heat resistant paint conforming to MIL-P-14105 shall be
used for areas exceeding 400 F.
3.24.1 Camouflage pattern data. When specified (see 6.2), the contractor shall provide camouflage
pattern data.
3.25 Lubrication. A lubrication means shall be provided for all moving parts requiring lubrication.
Each distributor shall be serviced and run-in with military lubricants conforming to MIL-L-2104,
MIL-L-2105, MIL-L-46167, MIL-M-7866, MIL-G-10924, and MIL-G-23827, as applicable. Silicone
fluid for hydraulic brakes shall be in accordance with MIL-B-46176.
3.26 Decontamination apparatus, portable (DAP), M13. The distributor DAP mounting bracket
(MS53052-1) shall be installed in a manner which shall not interfere with the normal operation of the
equipment. The DAP has the approximate dimensions of a standard issue five gallon can conforming to
MIL-C-1283 with a weight of 54 pounds. An upright installation is preferred. Horizontal mounting shall
be used only with the approval of the contracting officer. The DAP device has a flash point of 165 F and
shall be installed away from exhaust or heat sources.
3.27 Special tools. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), any nonstandard or special tools required for
equipment operation and operator maintenance distributor shall be furnished with the distributor.
3.28 Toolbox. A lockable weather protected storage compartments or toolbox of sufficient size to
hold all tools and equipment required for operation and operator maintenance shall be provided.
3.29 Government-furnished property. When specified (see 6.2), the following property in the quantity
indicated will be furnished by the Government (see 6.5).

3.30 Workmanship. The distributor shall be free form defects such as poor welds, rust, cracks, and
other defects that could impair its operation or serviceability.
3.30.1 Castings and forgings. All castings and forgings shall be clean of harmful extraneous material
such as sand, dirt, sprues, scale, and flux. Rework material shall meet typical mechanical properties of
new casted or forged material and not affect fit or function.
